Floog Vab Ninto

4 January 2026

This sermon centers on Jesus’ words in John 14 as a deep comfort for troubled hearts in a world marked by loss, change, and death. Drawing on the image from “Abide with Me,” it says that grief and instability are part of life in a fallen world, and even the disciples faced fear and uncertainty as Jesus prepared to go to the cross. Yet Jesus does not leave His people without hope: He goes to prepare a place for them in the Father’s house and promises to come again and bring them to Himself.

The preacher emphasizes that lasting security is found nowhere in this changing world, but only in Christ. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and through His suffering, death, resurrection, and ascension He opens an eternal home for His people. The sermon urges hearers to fix their hearts on Him alone, trusting that in Him there is true joy, true life, and the promise of being gathered forever with God’s people.
